In 2025 I went all in: I quit my job, left a beautiful life in NYC, and moved to San Francisco. Along with my longtime friend and classmate @aquariusacquah, I’ve co-founded @joinkaizen. With Kaizen, we are ushering in a new wave of *software that does work* leveraging computer.

Founding Engineer meme has gone too far. Everybody trigger happy to proclaim the Windsurf team got screwed, turns out to be a total lie. The truth is I know many founding engineers, early at Figma, Scale, MosaicML, etc all who’ve made transformative money. Equity comp works.

Soham Parekh just exposed how bad most people are at hiring. Look at all the examples, there were (subtle and non subtle) signs things were off. If Soham made it through your process, you need to revise ASAP. Hold candidates to a higher bar, get better signals.

Socialism is not cool . I’ve have several ex-Soviet teachers over the years, with a familiar physiognomy . Scrawny, short men with narrow shoulders. They were malnourished, food was rationed, because socialism fails.
