THIS WEEK IN UNC SPORTS: October 20-26 -Big volleyball homestand -MBB exhibition in Utah

#UNC called a version of that final play for RJ Davis last season where RJ pulls up for 3 instead of driving. Nice to have the target of Veesaar to aim at on the inbound. Good hoops.

Caleb Wilson jumpers from the elbow aren't what you want in crunch time, imo. He's done his work under the basket tonight. Settled there and it led to the BYU and-1.

I would've thought #UNC was losing the rebounding battle, but they're actually up 36-34. Also leading second-chance points 14-12, despite BYU leading ORebs 17-15.

Combined 8-39 for 3 from a pair of teams who would fancy themselves as having a lot of good shooters. Still been an entertaining game, though. Keita v. Veesaar and Wilson v. Dybantsa has been fun.

This A.J. Dybantsa fella seems pretty good. Stevenson is a good defender and Dybantsa is getting whatever he wants. Five different Tar Heels with at least 7 points is a positive development. Scoring depth!

Hubert Davis: Alright guys this is only an exhibition, don't do anything crazy and get yourselves hurt. Henri Veesaar:

Derek Dixon played the most first-half minutes of any non-starter for #UNC (12). Add in Wilson being a staple, and this has a good chance to be Hubert Davis' most freshman-reliant team of his tenure.

Will be interesting to see how Luka Bogavac fits into this rotation. #UNC could definitely use his outside shooting touch. Good sequence for all the Derek Dixon truthers out there.

7 turnovers and 9 missed shots in 8:03. Yep, definitely October basketball. Unrelated: Caleb Wilson is definitely gonna take out some courtside folks at the Smith Center with a block this season.

Understand it's an exhibition, but Zayden High being one of #UNC's first men off the bench and replacing Caleb Wilson tells me he's gonna play quite a bit this season. Same with Derek Dixon replacing Evans.
