At the heart of this scandal at Dundee University is sheer incompetence. £40m of ringfenced money blown, and the Principal's excuse? He hadn't read his reports.

I have written to Councillor Mark Flynn and Greg Colgan over Dundee City Council's position of not releasing financial information relating to a FOI regarding Caird Park Golf Club. I hope that the council will reconsider their position given the obvious public interest.

This is 100% on the mark. Institutions that have come to believe they owe no accountability to the people who pay for them and who they are meant to serve. Far more interested in managing headlines for Ministers than solving problems. We need a new direction.
