Nintendo Rhapsody is an ongoing story about how Nintendo, and video games in general, helped me through some of the harder times in my life. Each chapter, known as a 'world' in Nintendo Rhapsody, is rather self contained with introductions and conclusions.

My final physical Switch 1 game of 2019 was Luigi's Mansion 3. Target included a tote bag and a bag of M&M's at no extra cost. To this day, LM3 still has some of the best visuals on the S1. I was still deep into SMM2 at the time, so I took the game slowly. #SwitchRetrospective

I finally picked up the upgrade for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I saw the $10 cards at Target and figured I could just toss it in with the original game's case after activating the code. I might still give it a try this weekend if I can pull myself away from Donkey Kong Bananza.

Thinking back on Sierra memories quite a bit this past week in the wake of Roberta Vaughan's sudden passing. Considering revisiting my multipart article from 2012, The Treasure of the Sierra On-Line. The real treasure may just be the fans who kept Sierra alive through the years.

After all, the real Treasure of the Sierra On-Line were the fans who sacrificed so much for the community. Rest in peace, Roberta Vaughan. (17/17).

I have been thinking back on the project quite a bit this past week. I think a fresh story about Sierra On-Line games and the community that kept it alive through the years would be the perfect way in which to revisit it. (16/17).

I had a few ideas for a Quest for Glory chapter, but most of my experiences (at that time) were with the fourth entry in that series, Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness. (15/17).

Following the Space Quest chapter of The Treasure of the Sierra On-Line, I also wrote about Leisure Suit Larry and King's Quest. (14/17).

There was a promo for the game on the back of Space Quest V's Galactic Inquirer. It included a phone number for Sierra On-Line. (13/17).

I picked up Space Quest VI: The Spinal Frontier around the same time as the collection. I had to order the game directly from Sierra On-Line as I could not find it in any store at the time. (12/17).

For awhile, I actually thought that maybe Space Quest IV was the only game in the series, and that the earlier "games" were just made-up time periods within the game. It would have certainly fit the wacky sense of humor the game was going for. (11/17).

When I was first playing through Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers, the Space Quest I and III time periods would always perplex me. (10/17).

I would eventually discover the Space Quest Collection: Roger Wilco Unclogged at Best Buy. It featured SQ1: The Sarien Encounter, SQ2: Vohaul's Revenge, SQ3: The Pirates of Pestulon, SQ4: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers and SQ5: The Next Mutation. (9/17).

Space Quest IV was also my introduction to the man with the golden pipes, Gary Owens. Many years later, I would come to find that he had quite the career as an announcer, disc jockey and radio personality. (8/17).

Space Quest IV turned out to be right up my alley. I instantly fell in love with the art, the music and the wacky sense of humor. (7/17).

I very nearly went with The Need for Speed, but something about Space Quest IV captivated me. Maybe it was the prospect of time travel. I have always been obsessed with time travel stories. (6/17).

I discovered the game in a bargain bin at Price Club (now Costco). My parents were waiting for me in the checkout lane and I was still trying to decide which game to grab. I held Space Quest IV in one hand and The Need for Speed in the other. (5/17).
