I'm with Mitchell, my immediate reaction to the GitHub email today was "what are my other options" even though honestly it might cost me less than $10/month at my level, I just hate dealing with these kinds of things.
There’s a lot of levers corporate leadership can pull, especially one as large and well funded as GitHub. I don’t have full visibility into the internal decision making of course but I believe they pulled the wrong lever today at the wrong time.

This is exactly what @anniehedgie and I are up to with People Work - we were talking about it just this morning. There is pent up demand for people not getting scammed by software.
I am completely convinced that in the next 3 years we will see anti-silicon valley companies. Ones who's sole proposition is user focused non ai data selling versions i'll be personally I'll be researching one this week
