This is one of the saddest developments in the care system in living memory. Should a child born on/after 7th November 2007 need to go into care this evening, they can legally be deprived of any “care” at all. And placed in bedsits/caravans instead. Such senseless cruelty.

Over the last year, BBC guidelines have changed. Where previously they referred to asylum seekers, maybe “asylum seekers making irregular journeys” maybe a mix of asylum seekers & “economic migrants” The exact same people are called “illegal migrants” by all presenters now.
