Very important: "The USCIS pause on immigration processing for Iran is about to expel thousands of students who are graduating from college in May. These are F-1 students, who will not be able to roll to OPT, STEM OPT, or eventually H1-B in time unless this pause is lifted.

Stopping Iranian students from coming to US removes one of the only ways they can escape their repressive government. While I have concerns with the Iranian system, Iranian education system is excellent. I have had many outstanding Iranian students over the years.

USCIS pause on OPT, H-1B/O-1, EB-1/2/3 for Iranian nationals already in the U.S. doesn’t improve security; it sidelines talent America trained. E.g., two of my PhD students, both Iranian, IMO medalists, and outstanding researchers are directly impacted. #LiftTheHold #USCISPause

The Islamic Republic has just cut the last <1% of internet access in Iran. Since the 1st day of war, the regime shut down internet to keep 90 million people exposed only to regime's fake news and unable to raise their voices to the world. This is a war crime. #DigitalBlackoutIran

Every time we manage to speak with people inside Iran (through expensive, one-way calls only a few can afford) they all say the same thing from the middle of a war: “WE NEED INTERNET.” For two weeks, the regime has cut off Iran’s internet. People can’t know what’s happening
