'hitting budapest' is such a beautiful short story. i'm so glad bulawayo turned it into a book; we need new names. i remember reading it & saying to myself 'this is the kind of book i would want to write'. the language, my god.

i received four rejection emails today. idk if they all planned it such that they came in back to back, with about an hour interval. last one came while i was in a bus, from an establishment i was so sure i'd get into. i may be broke this december, but i refuse to be wounded.

netflix acquiring hbo is such a bad news to me idk.
Netflix announces that it has acquired Warner Bros., including HBO Max and HBO, in a deal valued at $82.7 billion. Franchises such as The Big Bang Theory, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, The Wizard of Oz and the DC Universe are set to join Netflix as a result.

happy to share that obi is a boy has been selected for the 2026 @LeCourtClermont and is in the international competitions. i’m still very much in shock as i was when we received the selection email. it is such an answered prayer.
