Besides washtrading, what is the bot activity? Turns out there is a form of MEV arbitrage for NFTs. A collection bid is matched with a cheaper NFT from a different market. All this happens in a single transaction.

Is BLUR cheating? If you look at washtrading (selling something to yourself to inflate volume), indeed the numbers don't look good for BLUR.

So what is going on? Let's look at a unique metric: NFT trades where the buyer is a contract. These could be bots or smart wallets. Turns out here OpenSea Volume is dominating once again.

Though according to @Increment_HQ weekly NFT trade volume in USD looks higher on BLUR, if you look at the number of weekly Active NFT Traders OpenSea has at least 3x the amount of activity

8/8 🏁 The conclusion: Arbitrum seems to have the more active numbers, but don't discount Optimism yet. The higher developer loyalty might translate into long-term resilience.
