After an original summer 2020 date, Family & Friends Day finally took place at Mercer Timber Products on July 1! The day brought many team members and their loved ones together, with a total of 550 guests making the event a great success.

Mercer's first CIO, Christoph Grewe-Franze, transitions out of the role, celebrating a 40-year career that earned him the 2022 CIO of the Year award from @CIOonline. Alistair Skey, previously Mercer's Director of Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, is appointed as Mercer's new CIO.

With Mercer Rosenthal's new debarking system, the mill has reduced #wood loss! This means less wood is now needed from the #forest to produce the same amount of #pulp and other biomaterials as before, continuously improving our resource efficiency.
