if u asked me which fictional character i related to the most in media, tecna is so easily up there. and idk, this is an important topic to me so that’s why seeing all this discourse is kinda getting to me (shown in my sudden spike of tweets lately).

and now i’m just worrying if people are gonna automatically see how i personally characterise tecna in my fics and think i’m stereotyping her even though i am just projecting onto her as an autistic person.

bc i relate to those traits. i relate to the inability to control my tone of voice, and the alexithymia (low empathy) and how difficult it is to reciprocate conversations, and how i accidentally come off as rude bc of it sometimes, and how rigid and logical i am as a person.

this is just me throwing more of my two cents into the autistic tecna coding / headcanons in general, and ik this is coming from a place of ig, anxiety from my end? but i characterise and perceive tecna with traits that are very commonly stereotyped in autistic people.

popping up in the qrts to recommend koisenu futari, a japanese drama focusing on two aroace characters and the struggles that come from it. i believe all the episodes are on dailymotion. highly recommend it. best aroace rep i’ve ever seen in media.

since this discourse is going on, i actually have sunbyte drabbles with autistic coded tecna that i’m done with but just haven’t found time to post on ao3. if u ppl care sm abt autisitc tecna u should read my fic (lighthearted).

i dont think either of them are codependent on each other but also they get antsy whenever they have to leave the other for too long or when the other is busy for extended periods of time. they need their daily good morning goodnight texts else their hearts cave in.

i think they both prefer to kiss when theyre sitting or lying down though because they are both needy in their own ways and find it easier to grab at each other's hair / neck to bring the other closer. they kiss like some cosmic force is gonna force them apart at any time.

i just think musa reaching up on her tiptoes and aisha bending down just slightly to kiss each other is very cutesy.

autistic tecna is so important to me, i project a lot of my own traits on her. autism is a spectrum and she (original tec bc like, we have a min of content of reboot tec) covers my personal brand of autism. so i am a bittt possessive of this topic but whatever.
