Feels good to gain a significant amount of rating at least in one time control after several months of poor results. My main focus will be on classical chess but it is very time consuming and difficult. Hopefully I will play at least 50 classical games in 2026. #chesspunks

Abdusattorov beats Mishra after blitzing out 34 moves of preparation! 🤯 At the end Nodirbek still had 1 hour, 43 minutes on his clock: https://t.co/vVlBS4Z2MR

I have made a video analysis of some of my games for my students. Sound quality is with some background noise so I am nervous to publish it but if you wish you can message me and I will send you the link. #chesspunks

I found 12 different types of inaccuracies/mistakes/blunders that I made 1. Playing seemingly useful moves – such as moves that gain tempos. 2. Defending poorly 3. Going for unfavorable simplifications in order not to have to “worry about king safety”

One truly learns best from their own mistakes. The amount of best moves I saw but didn't play in the previous classical tournament that I just finished reflects a lot about my confidence on the chess board and especially in my confidence in my defensive skills. CONT #chesspunks

I am playing a classical tournament after 8 months. I am so off form that I can see it in my calculation and decision making. In the span of 48 hours I drew against a 2250 IM, 2230 FM and against a 1700 player. Ah the highs and lows of chess. #chesspunks

"Casually" drawing in 200+ moves against 2170 while playing last 120 moves on increment. Held to a draw 2 bishops and 2 pawns vs 2 bishops and 3 pawns. Endgame training is important! Next game I held another 200+ rated player in a slightly worse rook endgame! #chesspunks

Daily training yealds results. I just made one of my best ever results scoring 6/9 winning against 2200+ and drawing against four 2050+ rated players. 6/9 +50 rating, not too bad! #chesspunks

Dear #chesspunks I am currently accepting students at a discount rate if the students are willing to train only endgames with me. I plan to do one topic per lesson and will be preparing the most instructive positions from the following books for training purposes : CONT

Duolingo for 10 minutes daily and listening to the languages I learned improved my reading and comperehension skills of Russian and German to a great degree which is very useful for both my chess (Russian books) and Philosophy. #chesspunks
