DATELINE: BUFFALO, NY, In my 50 years of songwriting, I have sung myself back home just about every night on stage. Last week I not only sung myself back, I WENT BACK and sung the songs on THAT land, and it means so much. Photo: LSK https://t.co/jo6OCR4emR

PLAYING ANY PUBLIC LIBRARY no matter where—is acoustically pure without mics or “sound”, people get in close-and like the books on the shelves, the words in the songs are the thing. Bring yourself! See you there.

IT’S BASEBALL! The “Saint Francis Silverbacks” vs. the “Ramsey Renegades” and the Empire roughly on the First Base Line. No $55 dollar tickets, no $9 Beer, no $14 hot dog variants, just the game and the steady clack of the typewriter between innings. Photo: LSK

JULY 14 BIRTHDAY’S TODAY FOR MY MOTHER (Third from L.) AND WOODY. Guthrie in 1912, and Hazel in 1922. Both part of an unforgettable generation that overcame so much, gave so much, & changed America for the better. Photo: CSM & Woody Guthrie Archives.

AH-OOH! “Somebody” has been in Studio recording a new song in Rockabilly. Afraid though you’re going to have to pay to hear it when the album comes or find me live ‘till then. Here’s the typewriter track on the recording HERE for free. BTW that’s a FIRST production (1929) Elton.

Star Tribune baseball glove story by ace reporter Rachel Hutton is the “catch” of today’s edition. That’s my pitch!

THE AMERICAN GOTHIC HOUSE, awaits the wayfaring typewriter with the porch steps ideal for the Empire 45. It’s small, and the red barn is gone, but the upstairs window is a ringer. Wood rambled through Iowa country so do we always in EXTREME mode. Photo: LSK #americangothichouse

I AM NOT A VETERAN BUT I HELP VETERANS TELL THEIR STORIES. A program I started enabled Veterans to do that. We wrote songs about what was important to them. For 5 Years no Veteran in the group was lost to suicide & their songs live on. If you have not heard them all, stop by.

MAN ITS GOING TO BE QUIET AROUND THIS CITY. I CAN’T THINK OF ANYONE IN MY CIRCLE that escaped the attention of Tony Glover, Dave Ray, and John Koerner. The reason why is that they were so open to every songwriter and music whether their musical tastes or not.

“#EXTREMETYPING. ARE YOU #ANOUTDOORTYPE After #TROUTTYPING in Toronto (they showed up) with Jon Finkelstein I went back across the border in ‘22 where I grew up. Now the fields are someone else’s and my favorite creek hideout is overgrown, but all I dreamed there happened.
