Spending this morning cleaning and carefully looking around the carrots and parsnips having a quick measure around. A seed label with the size of the carrot /parsnip is placed next to them so I can work out what to pull when it time. Am very happy so far it’s 2 weeks to go.

Continuing with more seed harvesting, today it’s the seed from my Own selection of long beet, these will be followed by the large exhibition onion seed in a couple of weeks.

Having a look to see how well the onion seed heads are coming along. These will be the seed that will be available in our new catalogue available on line.

Two of our varieties were amongst the Red cards. Cauliflower’SV5818’ and beetroot Pablo, a regular winner on the show benches and sweet flavoured.

Some of the vegetables on display with the beautiful pair of cabbage taking the Best Dish in the vegetable section. The variety was Hercules.

The RHS Summer Show has moved this year from Tatton Park to Wentworth Woodhouse and is staged on the First floor of this massive Mansion. More veggies to follow

Having a look at the long carrots and parsnips this afternoon. The foliage on the stems on both were causing a couple to snap and it’s not what I’m aiming for.

A really hot and humid day today and I need to start sorting out the 250 gms onions.
