One of my favorite medieval brooches that I’ve found! A 1000 years old star brooch! It has a blue/green glass pearl in the center. On the reverse side was a pin, the same technique is still used today on pins and buttons. 😎👍🍀 #metaldetecting

In Dutch they are called: “Orakelstaafjes” and in German they are called: “Orakelstäbchen”. They were used to ask the gods for advice. Who knows what these are called in English?
