We asked Chat GPT how AI can be trained to be considerate and equitable and it came up with some really accurate and interesting recommendations which we should definitely build into our planned way forward.

People from low income backgrounds are not usually early adopters of new technology because of initial high costs. It would be great if the developing role of AI in music could be more democratic and equitable to access regardless of your background.

Dataset biases are a problem, and beyond that the datasets and algorithms are created by people working in Silicon Valley who will bring their own biases and perceptions. So that needs looking at too.

Generation of AI images: risks include that it inherits biases and could further entrench lack of representation. For example if you ask AI to generate an image of an orchestra it gives you an image of exclusively white musicians and no disability.
