Most of the weir dams we constructed in Mwenezi are filling up. These water sources will sustain irrigation and livestock production during the dry season. Water harvesting is key for community resilience.

Through the Zambuko Livelihoods Initiative, we are promoting the production of drought-tolerant crops. Drought Tolerant crops help farmers have ✅Food security: farmers have food to eat. ✅Income: farmers earn a living. ✅Resilience: farmers adapt to climate change.

Meet Easter Machavi, a 32-year-old poultry farmer from Chiredzi. Through @UsaidZimbabwe funded #SCRI Activity, she received 20 Sasso day-old chicks, and she now has more than 100 chickens. Easter sells eggs and chicks to support her family's financial needs.
