Very sorry to have had to postpone this due to illness, but it will take place on January 27th, instead.
I'm talking on Monday evening (18h CET online) about some research in progress into what we can find out about early Brittonic from British Latin, with particular focus on an interesting Romano-British curse tablet.

I can warmly recommend @Uni_WUE, particularly for anyone keen to study comparative Indo-European linguistics (potentially with me) or immunology with @lippert_lab. 👨🎓👩🎓.
Dear international students and talents from around the world, note that German universities welcome foreign students, are tuition free and many subjects are taught in English. Germany has become an open and liberal society in contrast to what the UK government is implementing.

Please sign. The move includes the scrapping of Gaelic studies, which clearly harms preservation & revitalisation efforts. Shameful, @aberdeenuni. Save Language, Translation & Interpreting degrees at Aberdeen via @UKChange.

Just my amazing wife being amazing. ❤️🔬.
Exciting update! I've only been here a few months and am very happy to share that I was awarded a donation from the local Vogel Stiftung which has supported many Würzburg scientists before me. Let's do some science! @Uni_WUE @Wue_SI #VogelStiftung #youngPI #ImmunoBiophysics

Any fans of A=440 (or, indeed, other tunings) in the Cambridgeshire area: do come and see this. My excellent successor and former colleagues are soloing, and I'll be trying to survive the chorus work!.
Excitement is building for our Messiah concert on Saturday. The evening will feature:. 🎶 A combined Cathedral Choir of nearly 40 amazing voices. 🎻 Leading professional orchestra @BrittenSinfonia .⛪️ The stunning setting of the Octagon Tower. Tickets:

With the rate that @SuellaBraverman can spout bullshit, the fact that she hasn't left politics and gone into selling fertiliser can only lead us to assume that she genuinely believes this crap. Utterly chilling, cynical, dog-whistle nonsense, devoid of any empathy. Shameful.

On Thursday at @ICCS23, I presented some thoughts on the development of overt subject pronouns in the history of Irish and the restructuring of the (3rd person) pronouns between OIr and MIr, as part of this interesting panel. Elliot Lash and @IsMiseJoe gave excellent papers. 🙂.
