They have much more to see and do! They are also enjoying meeting students from other areas of the U.S. we hope they have a blast!.

Juniors Olivia and Gilbert are MCHS’s first @globalglimpse traveling abroad this summer. They are in Turrialba, Costa Rica and they have been enjoying amazing local foods and fruits. They have helped make empanadas, and they visited a butterfly farm. @SuptCheng_CIOB @M_C_N_C

Earlier today, our staff got to explore the lessons and work created based around those questions. It was amazing! Thanks to Melisa and Felisa for facilitating throughout the year! (2/2)

During the school year, as part of PD, our teachers have been looking to answer inquiry questions they had with their practice. They created lessons that focused on trying to answer those questions and improve their craft. (1/2).

Earlier today 20% (yup, thats not a typo) of the Class of 2025 graduated from @LaGuardiaCC w/ their Associate Degree. 11 of our 5th year students also received their Associate Degree. Words can’t describe our joy and pride on this amazing accomplishment! @SuptCheng_CIOB @M_C_N_C

Earlier this week select students met w/ Cheryl, Brian and Laura to begin the process of applying for our Teaching Assistant Program (TAS) for next school year. It was an amazing turnout.

Some more amazing student work from Cycle 3! Students in Miriam and Randy’s Bookmaking class created a picture book from start to finish that incorporated original characters and stories as well as hand drawn images. Just stunning work kids!

In Animation this cycle w/ Miriam Z. students worked in teams to create a stop motion animation that included music and spy effects in order to tell a story. Here are some of the finished products. A full compilation video from all the students can be found on our Facebook page.

This past week in House our 9th graders enjoyed some pizza and sunshine to celebrate the completion of their first year of high school. We can’t wait to see what they do in 10th grade! Great work the to Class of 2028!

This past week Girls Inc. concluded their activities for the school year with a fun ice cream social. It was a great way to end a great year or learning and working together. Big thanks to our Parent Coordinator Kristy for working with them all year! @girlsincnyc
