@mbarrera1323 it’s the same people that always complain and moan and then offer up 0 solutions. there are plenty of things to improve, some possible, some not. but i’m so tired of “they’re ruining the atmosphere” coming from the same people who sit on their phone and offer nothing better.

@SoB_Evan Well said, Evan. Honestly, only thing I'd wish is for them to have the same energy as KSU, but so many fans stand quietly. That's not an SOB problem tho, that's TRE problem. People stand there & don't join in on anything. IDC what the new chants are, can't force people to sing

@mbarrera1323 Also a lesson in how narratives and info are easily made up. All of this literally started from a Reddit echo chamber with the same handful of dudes with a rotation of usernames stroking each other’s egos. This is also why we survey and engage membership to hear from REAL members

@ErickTheSoB I don’t use Reddit and all I hear about Union Reddit is that it’s a place where dreams go to die 😂 has always sounded awful, worse then Union Facebook.

@mbarrera1323 I think the unfortunate reality is that for a lot of people, they feel there isn't a great way to get new ideas in front of those in charge. Sure there are forms and all of that, but these people feel dismissed. Whether you agree with them feeling that way or not, it's happening

@puertodelphian Oh I agree it’s happening, in what capacity idk, but it’s ultimately a 2 way street. The pure opposition though without clear suggestions is what gets me laughing (like the IG page I came across).

@mbarrera1323 I think it's a reaction to the great work KSU is doing with new, fresh chants. I know and respect many people in the SOB. They sacrifice lots of time and energy for this team. But, it does feel like the SOB has potential that isn't met. The question is, how do we get there?

@NathanDole2 New chants over the offseason will help at least get the ball rolling, and removing the megaphone. Majority of people that I’ve spoken to have said It sounds better when it’s not around. The crowd noise alone always sounds better IMO.

@mbarrera1323 I seen stuff but im on vacation so I haven’t been paying attention. But its the same stuff all the time. The reddit stuff is a bit to extreme so i dont go on that. But if people would just be positive the sob is the reason why I joined in the first place because of the passion…

@mbarrera1323 I’ve long felt the SoB’s impact is both over exaggerated and under appreciated at the same time. They played a key role before there was a team, an overstated role in the league finally putting a team here and have done a lot to attract fans to the team.

@mbarrera1323 I made a suggestion to start a go fund me for better music equipment. Part of the issues with the chanting is it doesn't reach to the outer sections like 134 because we can't hear the beats. So it get out of sync or we can't hear when opposing drums are there

@mbarrera1323 The entertaining thing about it is the people who are behind it sit in TRE but don't participate in anything.

@mbarrera1323 I for one can't wait to see the new things that these petition people implement/pay for/get people to do/and continue to do and oversee. Cause that's exactly what will happen riiiiight??! Lol

@mbarrera1323 The SOB needs new chants. The chants feel that they are pre k chants. I hardly go to a game and feel that SOB is leading the crowd to support and be loud. It often feels the crowd is leading the SOB. It has felt like the same old thing for years there.

@mbarrera1323 A petition isn’t going to do anything. It’s ridiculous. But also, going to that length to get rid of the megaphone, or change how it’s used should be a sign to the higher ups in the group. Just my 2 cents. I’m clearly not affiliated with the group anymore so i don’t really care
