A key takeaway was, its essential to empower teachers to co-create and effectively use these solutions, especially in low-resource areas where they can bring more equity and inclusiveness.

Solutions meeting these criteria are included in the Learning Cabinet, a curated platform to guide education leaders in making informed choices on Edtech solutions suitable for their context.

The framework pillars focus on Safety First by protecting children's data and privacy, Impact on Learning by driving measurable learner outcomes, Design for Children, Ready to Reach all and Leave No One Behind which ensures equitable access for all.

It was also exciting that there are over 100,000 EdTech solutions globally. However, decision-makers face the challenge of finding the right fit for diverse contexts. To mitigate that, UNICEF’s EdTech for Good Framework offers a solution to assess EdTech suitability.

I had a chance to represent @Edutab_Africa at the #slush2024 side event in Helsinki themed "EdTech for Good: Shaping the Future of Learning," by @UNICEFinnovate. The session highlighted the global education crisis and emphasised that business as usual is no longer an option.

My last take away as a food for thought has been, how we can leverage such set-ups to foster collaborations and improve use of technology to support research in the different economic sectors of Kenya.

It was of particular interest how the different labs at the university are using technology such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Colour Science and hashtag#Robotics to ensure they conduct top notch research geared towards environmental conservation.

It has been an exciting experience participating in the International Conference for Sustainable Resource Society (ICS24) hosted at University of Eastern Finland.
