I’m an older dev so I’m admittedly a bit stubborn. But in terms of AI workflow I have settled into: I write all my code as before. I use AI as a “better stackoverflow” when I’m stuck. Unleashing AI on my codebase just seems to suck the joy out of my work. I like writing code.

I should also note that LATES will be completely free. It’s already too damn expensive to go out.
Thanks to lovely OpenStreetMaps POI data I've managed to start building a fairly decent database of pubs, clubs and venues. So without further ado: introducing LATES - a database of loads of late night venues you can have fun at in London. Still lots to do but a good start.

The data needs a bit of massaging, the UI needs some tweaking and cities other than London need adding but I've got plans for all of these things. Anyone want a TestFlight hit me up.

I do wonder if another—albeit smaller—symptom of dying nightlife in London is that people now just assume there’s nowhere to go after midnight because data presented like this is difficult to come by.
