Yes, bacon really is killing us ….but fortunately Parma ham is ok (nitrate wise) viva italia

The long read: Decades’ worth of research proves that chemicals used to make bacon do cause cancer. So how did the meat industry convince us it was safe?

@bbclaurak I don't understand why the BBC thinks @bbcLauraKuenssberg is up to filling a slot formerly occupied by the excellent Andrew Marr - or is this yet more evidence of Johnson's idiotic decision to make Dories culture secretary???

I have briefly visited St Petersburg for my mother's funeral, and back in Europe safely. There is a deep anxiety in the air (but it's everywhere). Prices go up (but...) Friends and colleagues are away (but it's August). Everyone whom I saw hates Putin and his war (but do nothing)

I love old stone pathways. So many have trod there and back. Whispers in the winds of the high country of Scotland.

Blimey!!! Big fan of yours who was disappointed BBC edidn't make you political editor years ago. Call me old-fashioned but aren't you a bit long in the tooth to have a new tattoo? An LBC @IaindaleAllTalk had a phone-in on the subject recently and he (like me) is baffled by it.

Asking Sue Gray to rid her report into Downing Street events of any references to the incidents the Met is investigating is like asking Charles Dickens to erase all references to David Copperfield before publishing his eponymous novel #PartyGate

Tonight, Labour gave the Conservatives the chance to do the right thing and vote to immediately stop MPs working on dodgy second jobs. They didn’t do it. The Prime Minister is a coward and the Conservative party is corrupt.
