these seem like tinkering but are good process improvements. great for people in the know but not so wow for general public as a vision to get voters voting. should be something like Wellington should be NZs 2nd largest city by the end of the decade. "Grow Wellington, Grow NZ".

If implemented low population and large area councils are gonna find it challenging. I predict some of those councils will go bust and disappear

people realising that cars have been subsidised and have not been contributing their fair share, and shocked any new system may redress that.
Road user charges is going to cost more. Here is an example: Toyota Corolla 2.0L. RUC rate = $76/1000km. Current petrol price $2.50L.New petrol price $1.80L. Would need approx 60L for 1000km. 60 x $2.50 = $150.60 x $1.80 = $108 + $76 โ=โ$184. Going to cost $34 more. @cjsbishop ๐

Toronto is combining schools and apartment towers, and honestly this is awesome and something I have been talking and trying to convince schools about in Ao/NZ ( all be it at a much smaller scale) .
