Since nothing changed, our department of education will report public attendance data for a school year that started in Fall of 2024 in the Fall of 2026. #mnleg just gave MDE another $4.7 mil to “modernize district data submissions” after $6 mil in ARP and $3 mil last biennium

Tons of good info here❗️. Minnesota is one of 8 states that still hasn’t reported attendance data for 23-24. It’s a policy choice to be data ignorant. Unfortunately for those who think kids going to school is important, we didn’t succeed in changing that at #mnleg this year.
🎉 Our fifth annual policy brief is here! This spring, we asked all 50 states and D.C. how they are addressing student absenteeism and sharing chronic absence data. See what’s improving—and what’s still needed:.
