This was a fun drive a few weeks ago allowing Ghost to explore never-before-driven roads! In addition to validating autonomy, we learned about Borax, saw obscure military facilities and aircraft graveyards, and saw the eye of sauron (i.e. a concentrated solar thermal plant)!.
What happens when a self-driving car drives on a road it's never seen before? Watch Ghost drive to Vegas for the first time. 140 miles, 2+ hours, average 71mph, no safety driver interventions. Full video here:
