I lost my younger brother Brad this morning. It was unexpected. It was sudden. No goodbyes. Now he’s gone. Please cherish your family members. Talk to them. Know what’s going on in their lives. Treat each moment like it’s the last one. Because it just might be.
Leave it better than you found it. 🤘
My time with Texas Football has come to an end. I’m so incredibly grateful for the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met. I was blessed with an amazing staff year after year and we sure did build a creative powerhouse. (1/2)
Family. 🧡
Grateful for the opportunity to say I will be the Creative Director for my friend
@Bijan5Robinson
. I’m excited to work with you and your brand. I’m honored you believe in me and what I am building with my agency. It’s up from here. Let’s get it. 🤘
Saying goodbye is the hardest. 16 years of friendship. My entire adult life so far. You were there for everything. Love you buddy. RIP. The best dog anyone could ever have. 2020, you’re the worst.
Hardest decision I ever had to make. But it has to be family and self first now. I put them in the back burner way more than I should’ve for far too long. Football always came first.
Stress. Anxiety. Burn out. All came with it. A pause was needed. So here we are.

Walking away from Texas was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make. It was necessary.
That being said, the doors it has opened in a little over a week have truly opened my eyes to a world of possibilities I never would have imagined.
Bet on yourself.

But now I need to focus on my time with my family, life events and broadening my creative scope.
I’m going to be a full time freelancer, in Austin, with the goal of building an agency with amazing people. “My DMs are open.”
🍻 to the future. Hook ‘Em forever!
🤘
Proud moment. We took a neglected Instagram account with around 78k followers when I got hired to now having. 200k. I’m very proud of our Instagram acct. Only going up!
Again... INVEST IN PHOTOGRAPHERS
I can go on for hours about why photographers and photography archives are extremely important for programs, teams and athletic departments. Since going on my own I've run into massive hurdles in accessing historical imagery from major teams.
Leaving Alabama for Texas was the best move I’ve ever made. It’s been an amazing year. I want shoutout the 2nd best CFB designer,
@TonyTQuist
for coming with me,
@thomaslakes
for his social savvy and image capturing ability &
@EmJ_not23
for her shooting and editing. 1/2
I love this team. I love creating for this program. I love what Coach Herman is building here at Texas. No one said it would be easy. Wouldn’t trade this for anything. Hook ‘Em.
Name another job on a sports team that you have to invent something from nothing, on demand, then have it approved by others. Then do it over and over again every single day, all day. I’ll wait.
And they wonder why people burn out of it.
Deion Sanders thanked his creative staff "video crew and photographers" along with his players and staff after they defeated Southern. All coaches should take note. Your creative staff is a part of your staff as well and contribute just as much, if not more, than some others.
Uncomfortable post:
In 2021 I turned 40, got my sh*t together and invested in myself. It’s never too late and I’m so thankful I did. I know what I look like on the left. I know what I felt like too. Say what you want. I changed that. Not stopping here.
We laid my brother Brad to rest today. Closure. This past week has put so much in perspective. Time to channel this energy toward something. I’ll say it again. Hug your friends and family while you can. RIP Brad. Whatever I do...it’s for you.
People ask me how to succeed and have a career in sports like working at Texas just happened to me overnight.
Texas hired me in 2017.
I graduated college in 2004.
It takes time and work and energy and resilience. I failed so many times before I succeeded. Put the work in.
I’ve done this on quite a few occasions. No issues here. And if anyone has any issues with me doing it feel free to come talk to me about it when you see me. We are all fans first.
