I just learned someone on Telegram is impersonating me and offering paid courses/coaching. That’s not me. My Telegram handle is “mg_be” and I’ll never reach out asking for money. No idea how to prevent this, just adding this as social proof of my ‘real’ Telegram handle.

To clarify: the slow (left) side was with 5 pre-started servers, the faster responses (right) are with 40 pre-started servers. This was a server that ran a pretty high workload of very small requests (microservice style) that suffered from the coldstarts.

(Numbers will vary for your setup obviously). In this case, this was the config:. pm = dynamic.pm.max_children = 75.pm.start_servers = 40.pm.min_spare_servers = 1.pm.max_spare_servers = 40. (Borderline worthy of "pm = static" and just running fixed php-fpm workers).

The difference in php-fpm between:. pm.start_servers = 40.vs. pm.start_servers = 5. Even with OPcache, there is a cold-start penalty for booting a new php-fpm instance. If you know you'll have higher or consistent load, pre-scaling towards that load is worth it.
