We're now getting into way, way too small sample size, but if you add returning wing Landon Wolf, ISU outscored opponents by 35 in just 27 total minutes with a 100th% offensive AND defensive rating. Lol.

Missouri Valley Note:. In the 181 minutes that Illinois State trio Johnny Kinziger, Jack Daugherty, and Chase Walker played together last season, the Redbirds posted a net rating of +20.2. They had a 99th% offensive rating and effective field goal percentage, per @CBBAnalytics.

One of the craziest stats I've seen as I work through my preseason rankings and depths charts:. Spearheaded by a ton of graduates and outward transfers, the American Conference will return 8!! players that started 20+ games last year. And no team has more than 2.

Interestingly, there have been three guys in the last two seasons to go from predominantly bench player to All-American the next year. My guess is it will happen again this year.

People hate change so much. How is this “RIP Feast Week” . This event is taking place during thanksgiving week which sounds pretty feasty to me . This will squeeze out all the random MTEs and give mid majors chances at Maui/Atlantis etc etc.

That's fair! For what it's worth, I was probably a bit clickbait-y in the fact that UNC is 5th and an inch behind Virginia in my rankings as of today. As for the size, I'm not THAT concerned because of Wade's D scheme. So much switching and positional versatility that it.
@matthewwinick I know it might come across as hate from a UNC guy, but I really think NCSU will underachieve if the expectation is top 3 in the ACC. Zero frontcourt size. Lubin as the starting 5 means you struggle against good teams. Saw that up close and personal this past year lol.

I would heavily implore ESPN to consider me if they ever do a college basketball RedZone show. But I also acknowledge not everyone has equal interest in Duke-UNC and Incarnate Word-TAMU CC on a Saturday evening in February like I do.
Commissioner Roger Goodell says ESPN has bought the "RedZone" name -- and that ESPN may adapt the product to other sports, like college football.
