Scheduled Road Closure - Summerfest (2025). Trade St. will close between John St. & McDowell St. on Friday at 9:am. The Trade St. closure will extend to Main St. at 3:30 pm until the event concludes on Saturday night. Roads will reopen at approximately midnight on Saturday.

@PiedmontNG @MatthewsFireEMS @townofmatthews **UPDATE** Mortorists can now travel on I-485 but will be diverted onto the E John Street exit ramp (from both directions) and rhen right back onto I-485 from the other side. These is being done to keep motorists from crossing over the bridge while repairs are being made.

**UPDATE** I-485 is now also closed down in both directions at E. John Street due to this leak. @PiedmontNG is on scene but there is no estimate on when this repair will be completed. Please plan an altetnate route. @MatthewsFireEMS @townofmatthews.
