This journey has created an interesting path for me. I’ve converted my practice, Mod Musings, into a design studio. Where I’ll continue to design objects and products and hopefully collaborate with other exciting brands.

A year later, the Encore was born. It's a keyboard that celebrates classic design features, explored through a juxtaposition of unique materials. Learn all about the Encore here:

I had to learn CAD modeling and the manufacturing process to figure out how to integrate wood and machined metals. Collaborating with the @modekeyboards team, we went through dozens of iterations and prototypes. I’ve documented the entire process here:

The curious creative in me connects the dots between things I like– woodworking and retro mechanical keyboards, all filtered through the modern aesthetics of contemporary desk accessories. While the concept came quickly, the execution was the challenge.

When I quit my job a few years ago, I developed an interest in industrial design. Now, I'm launching a product in a category I'm passionate about: Keyboards. It began when @modekeyboards approached me, “If you were to design your own keyboard, what would it be?”
