I've lived and worked in this town on and off for most of my life. It's my home. Yes, it has its problems but it's also full of kind people, dedicated local charities the writer couldn’t be bothered to speak to, vibrant clubs and so much more I could mention.

Crime exists in the town, yeah. But some details that the article fails to mention is that the town is within the 20% nationally most deprived. It has areas of high deprivation, poorer health outcomes and other issues driven by a person's socio-economic status.
