If you interview for a Web3 BD role, treat it like a sales call. Your expertise is the product. Your interview is the pitch. Most candidates walk into interviews ready to answer questions about their resume. That’s the wrong approach. Instead, run it like a consultative sales.

Most startups dig into failures. I like to dissect our wins too. If the team lands a big deal, we ask: what the hell did we do right?. Was it timing? The demo? How we positioned against competitors?. We document everything while it's fresh. Can't rely on gut feel when there's.

The leverage strategy we take for granted in DeFi literally doesn't exist anywhere else. Think about it: deposit collateral → borrow stables → buy more → repeat. Turning 9.5% yield into 16%+ in minutes with a few clicks on a very low risk asset. Try doing that in TradFi

Most Web3 companies waste the first 30 minutes of every senior hire call. I don't. I do as explained in the below tweet and these are the reactions I am getting from very experienced candidates in the currently open recruitment process. People love it, they feel more familiar
Before the fist call with a candidate, I always send a 10 min video covering all the basic questions they might have. This gives them an idea of the fundamentals, lets them ask informed questions on the call and makes them already familiar with yourself (no initial awkwardness)
