I first spoke to Marc Garneau in Fall 2016. I was "just" a student reporter covering a town hall event, and asked if I could get a quick interview. Marc agreed, and treated me like any other journalist. He was the first politician I ever interviewed. A class act all the way.

I was at a Peter Gabriel concert, during a Habs away game in the playoffs. He acknowledged this at the start of the show, and said he understood that some applause during the show might not be for him. He provided an update on the score after intermission. Shit is serious.
Tomorrow's French-language debate has been moved up to 6 p.m. ET to avoid conflict with the Montreal Canadiens game. The Habs may be trying to clinch a playoff spot tomorrow night.

Quite a busy few hours on the tariffs front:. Reuters reports that 25% tariffs on Canada would be pushed to March 1st. U.S. press secretary Karoline Leavitt now saying that is false - tariffs WILL BE imposed tomorrow.

Montreal's parking agency, @agencemobi_mtl, is experiencing a service interruption for payments. A rep just told me that agents have been advised NOT to give tickets while the interruption is in progress, but if you're caught not having paid when it's back up, you'll be ticketed.
