I do hope we see a return of thermal cameras to F1 soon, it’s use I can’t see during a race but for analysis it would be great - much like the visor camera!
Might be speaking to the onboard guys about it soon, but the reason it stopped was from requests by the teams hating it 😂

Back in 2019 I reached out to FOM to collaborate doing an in-depth video on "How F1 Onboards Work" looking over live cameras, thermal cameras, 360° and more.
We had meetings and tried to find dates but 2020/21 happened with restrictions, team bubbles, etc.

With respect, you put content warnings and doing everything possible to tell viewers (especially young ones) of what to expect - which is kickass. But YouTube do need to treat all channels as if they don't, so it detects any of those warnings then it'll be age hit, which sucks.

BIG F1 ONBOARD CAMERA UPDATE - Gyroscopic stabilization!
With the footage at x3 speed, we can see the camera position automatically stay horizontal. This means we can now see the incline of the high banked of corners, whereas before the cameras view was locked in place!

Does this mean Lewis didn’t win Silverstone as he crossed the finish with only 3 wheels? No because he was able to finish and same applies here.

We planned to film at the French GP and heard that SkySportsF1 would now be there too, by coincidence they wanted to film the same video.
A week before the GP, I got an email saying my request was no longer granted, a policy had recently changed only allowing TV rights holders.

Such as the 2x cameras on the roll hoop, over the shoulder, face camera, rear wing, front wing, 360°, visor camera and the returning pedal camera!

One of main topics always surrounding Formula E is the noise the cars produce, I've never minded it but for some it's enough to not even watch which is a real shame.
So I've swapped the audio to a modified Formula 2 lap, and can't tell if it works or not (ignoring the gearshifts)
