Tasting 2013 Jean-Luc Colombo Cornas Les Terres Brulees -The palate is reserved, for sure, but lacks the barnyard aspect that the nose portends. Good plum, blackberry, plenty of earth, spice, and tartness. Outstanding. 93 Points. #wine.

Tasting 2021 Château de Trinquevedel Tavel - I bought a few of these when there was a rosé sale at H-E-B (I love my H-E-B). Wow, this wine is fantastic. 93 Points. #wine.

Drinking 2021 Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé -the whole debacle (understatement) that is going on with the whole Brangelina thing. Ugh, what a disaster. But the wine is Outstanding and I hope it survives. But I am not holding my breath on that one. Ugh. 93 Points.

Drinking 2021 Vignobles Paradis Feu Follet -Retail $28. Synthetic stopper. 60% Grenache Noir, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Carignan, 10% Syrah. Second bottle, marginally better, but that is enough to get it to the grand ol' 90. Félicitations! 90 Points. #wine.

Drinking 2021 Trapiche Malbec Broquel -Dark in the glass with tons of dark fruit: cassis, plum, blackberry; there is also a load of spice: black pepper, clove, anise, and even some herbal notes (basil, thyme, mint). 89 Points. #wine.
