uff may my curiosity never die. may i never stop learning or asking questions that have easy answers. may i never stop thinking too much and observing too much. may i never go weak that i forget i’m human. may i never stop aspiring for a world that makes no sense to the powerful.

sohail afridi is politically an infant, yet he’s quickly risen to the top of PTI. this shows that even mainstream bourgeois parties are facing a serious leadership crisis. anyone with basic political experience can fill the vacuum for a bit and make a rich political career.

this is why “sovereignty” under capitalism is a sham. a country is sovereign only as long as imperial power allows it to be. when the interests of capital are threatened, borders, constitutions, and international law suddenly mean nothing, there exists only imperial permission.

such a shame to see politics be reduced to oppression olympics. it’s also usually led by elite folks who have no material relatability to the lives of poor and working class from even their own communities, and end up doing the state’s grand divisive work just to pet their egos.

murtaza wahab calls people’s anger and road blockages “ishtial angezi,” telling them not to ‘do politics’ over a child who fell into an open manhole and died, but what he means is, don’t question the system or those in power whose negligence creates conditions for such incidents.

karachi mei kal raat se aik chota bacha manhole mei gira hua, and he’s still not found. likely dead now. kya almiya hai. jis shehar mei gutter ke dhakkan tak nahi, wahan sarkar ne e-challan system laga kar croro banane ka naya scheme lagaya hua. nothing that people actually need.

it’s so true what trotsky also said. in politics, it’s crucial to get the real size of problems and choose battles carefully. people who react too much to small issues cause bigger problems for themselves and the cause. always keep things in perspective and focus on what matters.

delhi crime’s season 3 was too disappointing. i don’t know why this happens to so many shows that peak too early and then just nosedive from the climax. maybe once the makers start getting too much money, they forget that it actually got the hype for the strength of its content.

honestly, kudos to them for still having creative muscle, imagination, and courage. whatever one thinks of the politics of the films, at least they’re willing to confront hard, uncomfortable (real) themes instead of only doing alienated, shallow shits like neelofar and love guru.

people don’t rob out of a lack of kindness in them, but because poverty forces them into choices they would never make if society guaranteed them their shelter, food, work, dignity, and future.
In #Pakistan, a robber experienced an unexpected change of heart and returned his stolen goods after being charmed by a simple candy offered by the shopkeeper's young daughter.

Last weekend, 1,200 communists gathered for Revolution Festival 2025, the largest openly communist event in Britain in decades. Youthful energy, a burning desire to study Marxism, revolutionary optimism, & theoretical clarity all made this a landmark event https://t.co/p8ne2dBqaT

everyone likes talking about their favourite film/show that they’d rewatch a hundred times, that they wish they could forget about just to feel that first watch again. but let’s talk about the film/show that’s so hauntingly fucking good that you can’t ever watch it a second time.

“how’s your lovely family? your daughters look beautiful today.” then in the movie spectre, blofeld (waltz) tells madeleine (seydoux): “i came to your home once, to see your father. i was a guest in your house. how is your father?” that damn reference always makes me so stoked.

one of my most favourite references were with christoph waltz and léa seydoux. when hans landa in the movie “inglorious basterds” goes to the dairy farm and sits down with monsieur lapadite and his three daughters. he looks at one of the daughters and says something like:
