Some kind soul compiled the car-crash local radio interviews with the PM today and I listened to all of them. It is truly amazing what can be achieved by journalists who don’t get regularly invited to No 10 for dinner. I sincerely doubt you’ll get the chance but please keep it up

Fine I said, at your new monthly rate my account is over 3 months in credit, so even at £72 pm you have been overcharging me. Three days later they came back to me. They will now charge me just £74 pm. Should I reinstate the DD or just pay for what I use and not a penny more?

My energy supplier Ovo wrote to say our electricity bill was going from £72 per month to £152. I immediately requested a smart meter and cancelled my direct debit. Ovo contacted me within 24 hours saying that paying without DD would make things more expensive for me.

I feel really privileged to have been part of Thunder in the Glens this year. Over 2,000 participants. A lovely bunch of folk enjoying a trail through some spectacular parts of Scotland. An absolute blast. The crowds in Aviemore and Grantown on Spey speak for themselves.

It was bad enough when we had a government of out-of-touch multi-millionaires, scroungers and crooks. Now with millions of people facing fuel poverty and very real hardship it would appear we no longer have sort of government at all. This is beyond a disgrace. We deserve better
