One exercise that’s been beneficial for our developer infrastructure organization in @ShopifyEng has been to define our scope of work. I share why and how we did this for the @DeveloperXM blog:

Interestingly I also look a little like @ryanqnorth (who by the transitive property I guess also looks like Klosterman) *and* I love *his* writing so there must be some sort of mind-body genetic connection going on between looks and writing (or at least the appreciation thereof).

A few years ago a woman at a bar told me I looked just like Chuck Klosterman. I had no idea who that was at the time. Since then I have come to realize that (a) I do in fact look quite a bit like him and (b) I absolutely love his writing.

Current grammatical pet peeve: the misuse of "lead" as the past tense of "lead". It's probably second in popularity after "it's" being misused as the possessive of "it". Correct usage: You lead your current team; you may have led a different one before.

Canada won't commit to support the call to include a phaseout of oil, gas & coal in #COP27 cover text. India, the EU, the US have all joined the call. Min @s_guilbeault: if we don’t have a plan to phase out fossils, then we don’t have a plan to combat climate change. #cdnpoli

My first thought when I see a windmill is "ah maybe there's hope for us yet" and my second thought is "some people look at this and think the exact opposite".

The Quebec govt took a hardline stance on cannabis edibles by forbidding the sale of anything that would appeal to children. Their "cinnamon and black currant bites" were apparently too much, as they were followed up by THC- and CBD-infused dried _beets_ and _cauliflower_. 😂
