Last Friday, members of the Markosky Environmental Sciences department participated in Mt. Pleasant School District’s Trout Release Day. They managed a Macroinvertebrate station where they educated Jr. High students about the important roles macros play in aquatic ecosystems.

In honor of Earth Day, the Markosky Environmental Sciences Department partnered with DCNR and participated in an Earth Day invasive species cleanup last Friday. We are thankful to everyone who attended and their support to help take care of our home.

Last night, Markosky archaeologists helped members of Scout Troops 150 and 160 earn the Archaeology merit badge. Scouts were able to look at and hold artifacts from Markosky’s type collections and activity stations were also set-up. A ton of fun was had by all!

On Saturday, a group of Markosky employees and others came together as team Markosky at the Iwaniec Memorial TakeOff Race 2025 to show their support for a great cause. They all came together to help honor the memory of Trooper Kenton Iwaniec and made an impressive showing.
