A point well made. Our good friends at @kentfa have produced this very informative graphic. As well as clarifying the use of the word “academy”, it also outlines the acceptable use of “elite”.
The word "Academy" is being used increasingly in grassroots & causing alot of confusion. Parents paying signing on £, mthly £, £ for academy tracksuits but then ultimately playing in grassroots leagues. To help clear up the confusion Cat 1,2,3 academies don't charge any fees.
