Excited to share our new paper https://t.co/kDt3BzGZwN) published in @AnnalsofIM. Our analysis shows that population-wide screening for chronic kidney disease in the U.S. has large population health gains and could be cost-effective.

#StanfordHealthEquity panelist @SherriRose works to curb algorithm harms on health of marginalized groups; grew up low-income, uninsured & knows what it's like to forego ER or prescriptions. "We need more health policy research done by people who have lived through these gaps."

20 years ago, my Dad and I took a father-son trip for a college tour to Stanford. We flew out to San Francisco. Explored the beautiful Palo Alto campus. Caught a Giants game. Today, he logged on to hear me give the Inaugural Health Equity Lecture @StanfordHP. Pretty dope. ❤️

Excited to share our analysis on a cost-effective treatment option for CKD, co-authored with @beccatis! Thanks @dkowens @gchertow @SalomonJA & team for a great collaboration. Very proud of what I've learned so far @StanfordHP and can't wait for more!
An estimated 1-in-7 adults in US suffer from chronic #KidneyDisease, with an annual $100 billion in health-care costs. New SHP-led research indicates clinicians now have powerful, cost-effective treatment. #kidney
