...yesterday I met someone who not only thinks similarly, but actually runs large, highly technical teams with this philosophy in mind, with good results and velocity. I was happy to see I am not the only one ✨

In conversations about remote work, people often mention that a core value for success is being available "to hop on a quick call" at all times. I personally think that being good at remote work should avoid that, but it's not a hill I'd die on. HOWEVER...

Hate to break it to you, but if the only way you can marginally shine professionally is by shitting on talented people's work, maybe you are not as good as you've made everyone to believe🤍

Thrilled about the launch of @kirodotdev autonomous agent 1) coding agent keeps going when your laptop is off (or like me, when you don't have good internet access during ferry commute) 2) works across repos. You don't need to adopt monorepos to be effective with coding agents!

Reviving this because I was talking with one of my longtime mentors over the weekend and he said: "ok, but let's be real: we both know that if someone like you™️ had made that type of contributions, people wouldn't have been so kind" And you know what? He is absolutely right 😉

Before you fret, I absolutely think that English language grammar fixes are necessary. This is less about that person, and more about self- and environment-inflicted biases. When I remember that story, I chuckle 😅

I was seriously impressed. Feeling that my ramp up process took way longer and my contributions were close to nothing compared to that. It turned out to be "grammar", as in the English language 😂

I used to believe everyone around me was technically smarter and more talented than I. This lead me to silly stories like: one time I saw someone new-ish to a project pushing *several* grammar fixes. For a while, I was convinced it was "grammar", as in "lexers & parsers", yes?

The older I get and the more *technical* seniority I accrue, the more I understand @jessfraz haha 😈

I had many interesting conversations today at KubeCon but, by far, the most popular question was "is that a Behemoth T-shirt?". It is 😛🖤

Open source in motion ⚡ @MichaelTunnell watched a live Kubernetes patch release and interviewed @maria_fibonacci (Veronica Lopez) & Jeremy Rickard—all at his first #KubeCon. This is how we build. #CloudNative #OSS

If you are at KubeCon NA, come join my little impromptu release party as I cut and ship Oct & Nov Kubernetes patch releases. I accept thank you presents in the form of stickers, unsweetened matcha lattes & oversized tshirts I can workout with. Please & thank you ✨
