Organising these days can take time and effort, but the benefits are so worth it. Watching the engagement and how the relationships between peers that they have never met before develop throughout the day . Student feedback is always ‘when will we do this again?’ . #STEMkids.
Year 4 students from St Aloysius' College joined us for a Companions in Learning Tech and STEM Day. After some lively ice-breaker activities, the inventors collaborated in teams to create and code an interactive haunted house, using Makey Makey circuits to add sounds and actions.

Amazing opportunity today for 6 students to have be able to hear from a variety of women working in different tech related fields @Google - from software engineers, marketing and sales - not all tech careers involve coding! #STEMgirls #futureinnovators.
On the 25th anniversary of Google, Year 6 students visited the company's Sydney headquarters to hear from some inspiring women working in the technology industry. Thank you Managing Director Melanie Silva who spoke about her career progression, and career opportunities in STEM.

Great kick off to #ScienceWeek with water rockets and some Machine Learning activities matching this year’s theme of #innovation #FutureIndustries.
To kick off Science Week, students measured velocity and distance during a lunchtime 'rocket launching' session, and Years 3 and 4 students enjoyed a session learning about AI, how a computer can respond to image recognition, and how to program an app to play Scissors Paper Rock!
