Breaking from NYPD commissioner Jessica Tisch: Officer Sharjeel Waris is recovering after he was grazed by a birdshot pellet in a shootout with a suspect in Brownsville, Brooklyn early this morning. A deceased male Leroy Wallace was found fatally shot. Suspect is dead.
