nobody loves march 7th more than herself

if anything it's a testament to how unique the storytelling is - beyond just the 3.6 quest, enigmata/remembrance motifs, the literal ae ticket in her design and the way her eidolons mirror each other all reinforce that at her core evernight is still march

just going to drop this here but separating evernight from march really undersells march's character bcs she literally embodies march's repressed and hidden parts of her psyche and the story ends with march confronting evernight which serves as an essential psychological growth

and it loops back to elysia's sacrifice too - she gave the herrschers Ego so they wouldn't just be weapons or vessels of fate in a way to retain their humanity. same thematic lineage.. the fight "to be" rather than just function reney's role mirrors "cogito, ergo sum"

memory only exists as dormant data (since it is, inert) so ego logically should be the catalyst that will awaken those memories and direct them towards the creation of a new future. in other words, "i remember, therefore i am" demiurge's death is the erasure of "i am"

reminds me of dr ratio's talent, "i think, therefore i am" cyrene will nourish the "ego", sowing seeds of memory so that the flowers of the past bloom tomorrow. as stated by the caption of her drip marketing

ego as in self-will, autonomy, the ability to assert independent existence; which reduced it to a machine of pure calculation bound to follow external directives without much independent thought and pretty much leading to the destruction

/hsr leaks turns out it's Ego! makes sense considering demiurge was erased to create a system without a head (without an independent, self-aware governing consciousness) so yep the trait that was suppressed and eliminated was indeed "Ego"
