I don’t know any other way to find answers to those questions except through a yatra. So, dear Yatra, I know I put a lot of pressure on you. But you’ve always shown up for me. You’ve changed me. You’ve held me. And I love you for that.

That moment when I feel they are me and I am them, it gives me conviction. It inspires me. It reminds me why I do what I do. What are my people going through? What’s holding them back? What will unlock their full potential?.

This feeling has been with me for a while. I have ideas but I’ve learned that real clarity only comes when I’m out there, fully immersed, with the very people I hope to serve.

Slowly, they convinced me that Punjab was calling - and that I had a role to play. And now, here we are again. On the verge of something that feels pivotal.

And then, from 2016 onwards, came a different kind of yatra. Across the villages of Punjab. Those early journeys laid the foundation for @SSikhiya. Every conversation, every school visit gave me courage. Sparked ideas.

In 2013, I went on a yatra to Hemkunt Sahib. With every step on that mountain, clarity emerged. Not all at once, but enough to know I was moving in the right direction.

It created a discomfort I hadn’t felt before because that yatra questioned everything I believed in. What I thought success meant, what I thought I wanted, what I believed was worth pursuing.

Every time I’ve set out on one, it’s changed me - my actions, my perspective, the very direction of my life. Back in 2008, I was in college when I went on my first-ever Jagriti Yatra. It blew my mind.

Dear Yatra,. As we begin this new journey, I find myself pausing with a question - why do I want to undertake this yatra?. It’s not the first time I’ve set out like this. And it won’t be the last. Because a yatra has never failed me.
