On 4th June the markets had fallen. Many Retail Investors placed orders for their Mutual Funds before 3pm. The NAV allotted to them should have been for 4th. But, they got their Mutual Funds allotted based on NAV on 5th. This robbed them of their rightful gains. I thought

In the early days of TensorFlow.js we had a grand vision of converting the data science world to JS. It was a pipe dream, the rich PY ecosystem made it impossible to change. Powerful one liners in scikit learn, with years of optimization & numeric stability is hard to overturn.
Hotter take: ML would have advanced faster if another front-end language had been available and widely adopted instead of Python. One that is interactive yet fast & compilable, multithreaded (no GIL), isn't bloated, doesn't care about white spaces,... E.g. Julia or some Lisp.

I recently noticed my project builds stopped working on Travis CI because they changed their plans and now I have to request credits for Open Source builds. This is now causing challenges in maintaining the project.

The first commits for the precursor to TensorFlow.js were ~4 years ago, Jan 2017. We called it "learn.js" before we renamed to "deeplearn.js" for the first open-source release and weren't part of TensorFlow! We joined TensorFlow in 2018 and rebranded to TensorFlow.js :)

DanfoJS: A pandas-like library for JavaScript built on TensorFlow.js by @risingode and @steveoni. Users of Pandas can easily pick up danfo.js as the APIs are very similar! Data-science tools in JavaScript was one of the original motivations of TF.js, I'm happy to see this!
Finally, I get to announce this project! 😃 So I and @steveoni have been working really hard over the past few months to bring the power and flexibility of Pandas to JavaScript. We call this library @DanfoJs 🚍 #Thread of some of the features and functionalities 👇
