Mostly doing chores this weekend, but got a chance to push a new build of my robots based on the feedback I got from the last build. Told you I wouldn’t wait as long 😊.

Definitely won’t let it be months before I put out another build. I felt the same way after the last demo, but the time it took to fix some tech debt left me concerned that the fun I was seeing wasn’t really there. Thankfully, it looks like there’s something there.

Getting feedback is so invigorating. It’s fun to see some expectations confirmed and hear some surprising comments. The best part of being a game dev, in my opinion, is seeing how people respond to what you’ve made and feeding off that energy.

After putting the prototype build out earlier in the week, I told myself I wasn’t going to do any more work on it this week and just relax. …And then this morning I started picking off low hanging fruit from some of the initial feedback 😅.

I’m proud of the work we did for the controls on the Infinity Engine Collection. It’s nice to see people are still enjoying them a couple years later.
