My rating is 3 out of 5 stars. Too many detours into MJ or unrelated stories during chapters that were supposed to be about someone else. It left me appreciating The Basketball 100 even more.

Each chapter starts with a short wiki style rundown on the player, then a convo between Sam and Phil. Their understanding of the older generations shows, and I expected that. I did appreciate the nuance Phil offered up through Tim Duncan.

The book feels uneven once it gets to the modern guys. Pretty much everyone from Allen Iverson forward gets lighter treatment, while earlier eras get way more depth and love.
